About this Christian Poet:
I am a 67 year old widow. I have been writing stories and poetry for a number of years, just for my own enjoyment. A friend encouraged me to submit them somewhere, and since I am a Christian and my poetry usually has a Christian theme I thought that your site would be a good choice.
The following poem I wrote for my sister, who is undergoing chemotherapy.
Chemotherapy
Ah child of mine I wonder
If you are holding tight,
Your world won't come asunder
It will work out all right.
Your times are held in my Hands,
So you don't have to fret.
You know that I have perfect plans
For you, so don't ever forget.
You are bound in chains of time
That drag on ever so slow,
I've given you a mountain to climb
You've left the valley that's low.
So raise your head, turn your eyes up
You'll see the rainbow on high.
I have promised to fill your cup
And my promise is drawing nigh.
