About this Christian Poet:

The Voice of Separation
The voice of separation,
That rings inside my head.
It speaks of me, myself, and mine,
And other selfish thoughts like,
What I’ll own, or, who I’ll be in time.
It cannot see the perfect truth,
That God has laid in store.
For every soul who now lets go,
Of Ego’s lies, those lies that make us poor.
The foolishness that separates ,
The husband from his wife.
The selfishness that separates the atheist,
From love of God, and all things right.
I must have my opinion,
I’m sure I know the truth.
Though, blinded by my love of self,
So totally devoid of proof.
But wait, can common sense be wrong,
Is all my faith in me confused?
Can something other than myself,
Know even more than intellect has ever mused.
What if that oneness, eluded to,
In all of scriptures’ wisdom texts,
Could bring about a greater life,
A peace of mind, some new unselfishness.
So open up those portals, imaginations deep,
Just let your faith in God abound,
And all your love of fellow man, now slowly creep,
Until… an over-powering sense of unity prevails.
Where separation dies, and finds his resting place,
Where all the liars have their home.
In blackened robes and mourners silkened veils.
