Poetry Submission Guidelines

The Poetry Gallery at The Christian Poet is reserved for poetry of excellence written in traditional style. This may include rhyming verse, sonnets, etc. We may also occasionally publish free verse poetry in this Gallery, but most work of contemporary style is best submitted at Utmost Christian Writers (visit the "Poetry Gallery" there).

If you are submitting poetry for possible publication at www.thechristianpoet.org, please keep the following points in mind:
          • submit no more than two poems, and do not submit
             additional poetry until you have received a reply from us.
          • all submitted work must be unpublished at the time of submission.
          • at this site we prefer traditional forms of poetry (i.e. rhyming).
          • you will not be paid for the publication of your poetry, but you
             retain all copyright and other rights. Your poetry can also be
             removed from our site in the future at your request.
          • we encourage you to submit a brief bio with your poetry.
          • please submit only your best work, as we choose only the best
             poetry for publication. Most work submitted to us is not
             accepted for publication by us.
